This cabin was designed as a rustic getaway - a welcome break from the fast pace of modern life. Designed to be simple, utilitarian, and beautiful - great effort was taken to use traditional materials and craftsmanship. The interior is clad with wide plank ship lap, and features an inviting custom bed niche flanked by built-in shelves. This design was inspired by my travels in the Netherlands, Ireland, and the back roads of the Carolinas. The result is a building that is at once familiar and surprising - sophisticated and warm.
