Charles Street was a top-to-bottom renovation of an existing home. Inspired by the owner’s heritage, the finished design took cues from Scottish Baronial precedents which were then blended with southern vernacular detailing. A pair of gracious arches separates the parlor from the kitchen - which subtly blends in with the surrounding paneling. A paneled staircase leads upwards towards the master bedroom and garret suite where the walls are alternately clad in beaded tongue and groove and built in cabinetry.
