Ink wash drawings broadcast the beauty of form, movement, and light in a way that more studied drawings can’t. These plein air drawings are made quickly and evoke the feeling of encountering beauty in a passing moment - similar to how we unexpectedly stumble across beauty in real life.  

Travel Sketches


Travelling is important when you study architecture, and so is drawing. It is far too easy to take a photograph thoughtlessly. Drawing keeps you honest and tells you when you start to understand what you are looking at. The gallery above showcases some of the sketches I made while on my travels.
