Saint Tikhon’s

Renovation Waymart, PA

This historic church had an existing set of stained glass windows that simply weren’t working well for the building - they were too dark, and stylistically problematic. The initial plan was to completely remove the windows and replace them with clear glass. But after some discussion the abbot was convinced to let us try designing new windows that let in more light, and were a better stylistic match. In the end we wove together a number of competing design themes into a cohesive series of windows that transformed the space and the liturgical experience.
